When it comes to the highly budget-friendly B-segment subcompact sector of the auto market, the Dacia Sandero is almost impossible to beat.

In each production year, the Dacia Sandero is typically one of the cheapest new cars you can buy on the market and offers some of the best value for money in the lowest-priced automobiles segment. The 2024 Dacia Sandero is a true-to-form continuation of this legacy.

With the Sandero receiving an aesthetic remodel in mid-2022, it is no surprise that there are barely any updates to the new vehicle.

The new supermini retains all the things that make it a trendy purchase: the shorter (than a sedan) wheelbase that positions it as a natural city car, spacious and comfy seats, and interior cabin that will put up with your busiest days around the city center, and pricing and value for money offering that is hard to surpass.

Naturally, you shouldn’t expect the Dacia Sandero to win any awards for interior fittings, driver appeal, or in-cabin tech. However, you do get an interior feel that is not overly dated and looks passable at a glance. The use of rigid plastic is heavy, as expected. Still, the Sandero somehow manages not to look excessively cheap, thanks to its clean horizontal dashboard lines, analog dials, and accents that are not an eyesore.

The base offering of the 2024 Dacia Sandero is as barebones as they come, even ditching the 8-inch infotainment touchscreen (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration) that comes with higher trims.

Other optional upgrades with higher trims include more padded upholstery, a reverse camera, and a leather covering for the steering wheel.

Powertrain options are a 1.0-liter 90-horsepower gasoline unit or a gasoline/LPG bi-fuel version that outputs 100 horsepower. Both options come paired with a five-speed manual transmission with no automatic alternative.
