About The Sandero

The Dacia Sandero is classed as a supermini car like the Ford Fiesta and Renault Clio – benefiting from tax breaks in certain territories.

These manuals will provide you with information about this vehicle’s specifications and features so that you can decide if it is right for your needs or not before making your purchase decision.

Original Sandero’s were built on a smaller version of the Logan platform though the newer 2nd generation models share a platform with many Renault and Nissan models.

The Romanian car manufacturer aims to make great value-for-money cars on the budget end of the scale by cutting back on luxuries.

Safety equipment in the car is at a level that is just enough for the market that it is being sold in, such as in Europe where they have added the 4 airbags needed to get it approved.

With the introduction of the 2nd generation model in 2012, the safety ratings for the car increased substantially as the company improved it from basic to above-average levels.

This 2nd generation model was put on sale with the following trim options:

  • Ambiance
  • Comfort
  • Essential
  • Laureate
  • SE Summit
  • Techroad

A crossover-style version of the Sandero (called the Stepway) was introduced in 2020 to take advantage of that exploding market.

The standard version of the car in 2020 brings with it the introduction of the third-generation model with much smaller engines to help it sell in emerging markets such as China.
