Buyers interested in picking a sizable all-rounder without having to trade an arm and a leg will easily find the Kia Telluride near the top of their shortlist.

This covertly impressive mid-size SUV packs a more robust package than it lets on at first glance and does so at a hyper–competitive price. The 2024 Kia Telluride continues this character with minor updates to its overachieving predecessor.

For the new Telluride, Kia claimed to have made some—barely visible—updates to the exterior, yet this does almost nothing to change the SUV’s unimpressive exterior from the 2023 model.

Changes to the insides include the replacement of the metallic accents from last year's rugged X-Line and X-Pro trims with a glossy black exterior and the addition of amber daytime running lights to all models. Elsewhere, things remain mostly the same for the Telluride.

Contrasting the bold, bare exterior is an upscale interior that will impress. One of Kia Telluride’s most significant selling points is the build quality, comfort levels, and supreme aesthetics you get on the inside, with the higher trims approaching luxury vehicle levels. On the range-topping SX trim, Kia even adds impressive functionality that takes things to the next level, like heated/ventilated rear seats, Nappa leather upholstery, a premium-looking headliner, a head-up display, and memory settings for the driver’s seat.

On par with the opulence of the 2024 Kia Telluride’s interior is the practicality of its setup. The three-row giant is more spacious than most of the competition, with room for 7 with optional captain’s chairs or 8 with a second-row bench seat. You also get an excess of in-cabin and trunk cargo space and an impressive towing capacity of 5500 pounds to cover whatever needs you may throw at this juggernaut.

The single powertrain option is a capable 291-horsepower naturally-aspirated V-6 with 262 pound-feet of torque that pairs with an automatic eight-speed transmission. While front-wheel drive is standard across the board, an optional upgrade to all-wheel drive is also available on all trims.
