2024 Seltos
The Seltos is Kia’s representation in the sub-compact SUV market, offering the perfect go-between that bridges the gap between their larger Sportage compact SUV and smaller Soul subcompact.
With the 2024 Seltos, Kia doubles down on a winning formula, providing a mild incremental update to one of their most established models.
The new Seltos receives minor refreshes to both its interior and exterior aesthetics.
Outside, updated lighting fittings—including a new width-long rear light bar that connects both tail lamps, a redesigned front grille, and the addition of new wheel designs, combine to give the 2024 Seltos a facelift that improves its good looks from last year considerably.
Kia also introduces a new trim with this release, a wilderness-themed X-Line that features a more rugged exterior styling compared to the existing trims.
Inside, the most significant change is with the infotainment unit on higher trims, which now features two large screens placed seamlessly side-by-side to simulate a single unit that acts as the gauge cluster and the media system. While the previous analog gauge cluster paired with the smaller display still comes standard on the base Seltos trim, the new screen system is an optional upgrade. The new infotainment gear also ditches the shift lever for a new rotary control station.
Whichever infotainment system you choose, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support come standard on all trims, with a Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM satellite radio capabilities offered as optional upgrades.
Powertrain-wise, things remain the same with the 2024 Kia Seltos, offering you a choice between two four-cylinder engines. The higher-powered option is a 195-horsepower turbocharged 1.6-liter, while the alternative regular 2.0-liter engine only reaches 147 HP. With this less powerful engine, you are stuck with a continuously variable automatic transmission, while the turbocharged 1.6-liter comes paired with an eight-speed automatic.
An upgrade to AWD is available on the base S and EX trims but is made standard on all higher 2024 Seltos variants.
