2024 Subaru Crosstrek Owner’s Manual

The Subaru Crosstrek is what you get when you take the capable subcompact SUV profile that excels in the suburbs and then blends in hints of ruggedness and adventure. The 2024 Crosstrek continues this same ethos with a few tweaks to make it even better at playing this role.

While it may not look it at first glance, this 2024 model is the start of a new generation, different from the 2nd generation that ended with the 2023 Crosstrek.

We wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t notice because the new Crosstrek’s exterior looks pretty similar to the profile of the previous one. Plus, it is hard to complain when you have a design that already works so well.

However, on closer inspection, the new Crosstrek profile does appear more aggressive, with angrier lines and new alloys on the wheel that complete the delightfully menacing look. More changes also come to the interior of the vehicle, which features an improved, more comfy interior and adds reinforced sound-deadening material to dampen vibrations and noises and encourage more detours off the tarmac.

If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, the new Crosstrek lineup now also includes a Wilderness trim that brings even more aggressive exterior characteristics, all-terrain tires, and a lifted suspension that ups the vehicle’s ground clearance to an ample 9.3 inches.

The interior of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek retains the spartan look from last year, offering a clean, straightforward style that does not dabble in designer delights.

Engine options remain unchanged from last year, with the standard offering being a 2.0-liter flat-four that produces 152 horsepower and the more powerful option, an 182-horsepower 2.5-liter flat-four, appearing on the higher Sport, Limited, and the just introduced Wilderness trim.
