Audi and affordable pricing rarely go together in the same sentence, but that is precisely what you get with the Audi Q3, the lowest-priced SUV in the brand’s lineup.
The Q3 offers the same balanced driving and handling experience you would expect in an Audi, on-brand clean and futuristic design and ambiance, and an assortment of tech options at pocket-friendly trim prices. With the 2024 Q3, Audi maintains this winning formula, changing very little with the new release.
The one big change is the inclusion of adaptive cruise control as standard—a feature painfully absent in previous iterations of this nameplate. Aside from this, other changes include updates to onboard tech (with wireless phone charging and a Homelink vehicle-based wireless control system now available as options) and a modified suite of exterior finish colors.
Things remain the same elsewhere, with the 2024 Audi Q3 retaining the same profile that presents an almost unchanged shrunken-down version of the more extensive Audi Q5’s exterior. Inside, the Q3 also mirrors its larger sibling, featuring similar characteristics, styling, and ambiance.
The current model, which is part of the second generation of this nameplate introduced in 2019, benefits from all the updates to the new generation that brought better-constructed materials (plus standard leather upholstery) to the interior, significantly upgraded front-seat comfort and driving position (added standard eight-way power adjustability,) and improved the onboard tech and controls. The interior on all trims also comes with heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
The big news with the 2024 Audi Q3 is the long-awaited addition of adaptive cruise assist, significantly improving the safety profile of this small SUV.
Under the hood, the new Q3 comes standard with a four-cylinder, 2-liter engine that can be tuned to create two different options. In the base 40 trim, the engine outputs 184 horsepower and 221 foot-pounds of torque, while the same piece is clocked up to 228 HP and 258 pound-feet of torque in the higher Q3 45 trim.
All 2024 Audi Q3 variants come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s all-wheel drive system.
