2024 Chevrolet Trax Owner’s Manual

After disappearing in 2023, the Chevrolet Trax is back as an all-new crossover, promising comprehensive improvements over the 2022 model. The 2024 Trax does everything to win you over this time, besting its predecessor in all but one department.

The new Chevy is both thicker and longer as it features a longer and wider wheelbase, more aesthetically pleasing with its dazzling exterior redesign, and now comes in five different trim levels (instead of the two with 2022’s release,) broadening that amount of options available, and shockingly sells for cheaper than the (already dirt cheap) old Trax, making it one of the most affordable crosses on the market today.

The only area where the new 2024 Chevrolet Trax falls short of the compact SUV it replaces is in performance, where it falls a little bit short.

The 2024 Trax’s interior also benefits significantly from the new update, most importantly in the enhancement of legroom and cargo space, thanks to the larger wheelbase.

However, the redesigned interior offers a clean, corporate view but does not stray significantly from the cheap materials you would expect in this market segment. Nevertheless, you do get a bump to an 8.0-inch or 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster, as well as a selection of tech luxuries depending on trim level.

Available trim-dependent options include heated front seats, a sunroof, a heated steering wheel, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless phone charging, and remote start functionality.

The performance department is where the 2024 Chevrolet Trax backpedals to make its eye-catching price possible. The new model features a lowly 2-liter inline-three turbocharged engine (borrowed from the Chevy Blazer) that outputs 137 horsepower, 23-HP less than the already measly 155 horsepower of its predecessor.

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax features a six-speed automatic transmission and comes only in front-wheel drive.
