2024 Outlander
- Manufacturer: Mitsubishi
- Model: Outlander
The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander is Mitsubishi’s primary offering for the year in the compact SUV category. While the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander won’t out-compete category leaders like the Mazda CX-50, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4, it does provide a decent seven-seater alternative with relatively posh aesthetics that is sure to impress.
This year’s iteration of the Outlander inherits its design from the models from the last couple of years without striking changes.
The last significant redesign of the Mitsubishi Outlander was with the 2022 edition, which featured a chassis and form factor adapted from the Nissan Rogue and brought a more refined interior and significantly more space. This car is one of the few entries in the category with a third row. However, unsurprisingly—considering this is a compact SUV—the third row would seat only the most minor kids and will most likely serve as more cargo space for the many (the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander shares the same platform as the two-row Nissan Rogue.)
The interior aesthetics of the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander is a homely one-tone design with dashes of metallic accents, a panoramic sunroof (powered option available,) and fancy quilted leather upholstery. Up top, you get a large digital gauge cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen display that gives you access to Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
Other notable features of the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander include dual-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, and automatic-switching high-beam headlights. Available add-on features include a heated steering wheel, heated seats for the first two rows, massaging front seats, power liftgate, and navigation.
The powertrain on the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander is everything you would expect from an entry in this category. The engine is an unimpressive but dependable 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit with a rating of 181 horsepower that will provide a boring but smooth ride.
While the standard version of this car ships with front-wheel drive, you can also upgrade to an all-wheel drive version.
