The 2024 Suzuki Grand Vitara brings the much-awaited refresh of this dependable model that has achieved legendary status for its reliability and robustness in many markets, especially in India and Mexico. However, the last few models have lagged in a few sectors, creating the perfect storm for releasing this revamped model. This update sees the unit reimagined on a different base and assumes a more modern look inside and out.
Fundamental changes to this year’s release are an update of the car’s exterior to take updated aesthetics that is more on par with its current competitors and the reintroduction of the iconic nameplate that proudly displays the car’s Grand name directly under the front grille. There is also the addition of a panoramic sunroof, which might be available as an add-on feature on release.
The other significant change is the transition to a new base, which extends seven longer than the regular Vitara and is also significantly taller and broader. The new unit also features a significant gap under its frame, which may be equipped with off-road gear.
The extra length of the vehicle automatically translates into a roomier cabin, seeing as the car still retains its two rows of seats. In addition to more leg space, you get an updated technology suite with a head-up display, a wireless charging pad, a giant 9-inch infotainment station with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Automatic air conditioning, and optional ventilated/heated seats.
In line with being an efficient car, the 2024 Suzuki Grand Vitara goes big on safety with standard electronic stability control, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, ABS brakes, hill start assist, 360 camera coverage, and an ample six airbags.
Another major update is the long-awaited addition of Suzuki’s BoosterGreen hybridization system to the unit. The 2024 Suzuki Grand Vitara ships with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower. The powertrain also includes a 12 Volts mild-hybrid setup that dramatically improves fuel efficiency.
