2024 Yaris Cross

Now entering its fourth year of production, the Toyota Yaris Cross is one of the brand’s main entries into the compact crossover market segment. This 2024 model brings new aesthetic updates that help to further carve out a brand image and niche audience for this young contender.

Built on the long-established Yaris subcompact, this Cross version is taller but still offers the same value-for-money running costs and low initial purchase price.

The most significant change to the vehicle for this new release is immediately visible from the outside.

Here, you get a new design language with a more robust, athletic profile. A sporty front bumper, a trapezoidal grille insert, and menacing angular wraparound lights all combine with the vehicle’s new, more muscular, and chiseled form to create a new Yaris crossover that has the looks department on lock. The 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross is a more handsome and aggressive-looking vehicle than you would expect, going by the name alone.

Inside, you get a decent cabin that combines hard plastic and soft-touch plastic panels that complement the synthetic leather upholstery to create a clean, macho feel.

The cabin’s fore greets you with a familiar Toyota-style dashboard with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster in front of the driver and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen at the center of the dash.

Other features available in the interior include a wireless charging pad, ambient lighting, an expansive panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, a premium Pioneer sound system, and a 360-degree camera.

The two powertrain options available are either a regular 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 105 horsepower paid with a continuously variable automatic (five-speed manual available) transmission or a 1.5-liter hybrid version that combines with an electric motor and a continuously variable automatic transmission to produce a more respectable 169 horsepower combined
