About The Recon

The upcoming Jeep Recon is part of Stellantis’ plan to become among the world’s leading manufacturers of electrified SUVs. This fully-electric, midsize SUV is expected to be unveiled officially within the 2023 calendar year and launched in 2024. Stellantis has also made it possible for people in the U.S. to reserve the Jeep Recon in 2023.

Like the Jeep Wrangler, the Recon is a capable off-road SUV that can handle the most challenging off-road trails. Jeep brand CEO Christian Meunier even said it could cross the mighty 35-km-long Rubicon Trail and still have enough range to drive back to South Lake Tahoe for a recharge. No, the Recon is not here to replace the Wrangler! It just offers a different off-road-driving experience and is expected to tackle steep forest trail inclines in near silence and deliver more comfort and refinement on paved roads.

Also, the new Jeep will also feature standard four-wheel drive, a Selec-Terrain traction management system, under-body protection, e-locker axle technology, aggressive off-road tires, and tow hooks. The Recon also offers open-air driving with its removable doors and glass and available power-folding rooftop.

This SUV is also expected to feature the latest safety and infotainment technologies, e.g., an advanced, next-generation Uconnect system loaded with detailed travel guides.

In terms of aesthetics, this SUV will feature a lighted seven-slot “grille” with tony blue accents that make quite an impression in the dark. Like with the Wrangler, Jeep is also likely to produce a wide range of exterior accessories for the Recon such as rock rails, skid plates, spare tire covers, and decals.
