About The EV6

In 2021 the South Korean automakers Kia and Hyundai both put their new all-electric compact crossover SUV models into production.

Kia uses the model name EV6 to market theirs (which you can find the owner’s manuals for on this page) and Hyundai uses the model name Ioniq 5.

Hyundai also sells a more premium version through their luxurious sub-brand Genesis as the GV60, all three share the E-GMP platform.

Unlike the Ioniq 5, this model is offered in one of two trims, the Hyundai version offers a mid-level that isn’t currently available here.

Buyers are able to order their version of the EV6 with either a 58kWh or a 77.4kWh battery – and then choose to have it with a single or dual-motors.

The benefit of having dual motors is evident through the improved acceleration but at a slight cost to the overall range due to the extra added weight.

Inside the EV6 you will find a huge infotainment system dominating the dashboard along with a digital instrument cluster that merges with it.

In terms of technology, the electric car boasts modern comfort and safety features that rely on a variety of sensors and cameras all over the vehicle.

You can even step outside of the car and park it remotely using the app – useful for parking in difficult spaces including garages that do not have enough room to open car doors.
