2024 Taos
- Manufacturer: Volkswagen
- Model: Taos
For fans of the Volkswagen brand, the VW Taos is a trendy vehicle as it offers the perfect go-between the more miniature Golf and the larger Tiguan, mirroring features from both and creating the perfect-sized vehicle for many users. The 2024 VW Taos is an incremental update to this delightful lineup with barely any new changes.
The 2024 Taos retains the same refined two-tone look with metallic accents from the previous year's model (there is also a new SE Black trim that features dark tones across the roof, wheels, and interior—with blue stitching on the upholstery.) Inside, you also get the clean, contemporary aesthetic design characteristic of most modern Volkswagen models.
Here, you will find standard two-tone cloth-covered seats with optional leatherette or full leather upgrades, a digital gauge cluster, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment station (optional upgrade to an 8-inch version) with a built-in subscription-based Wi-Fi service.
Other optional interior upgrades include remote starting, heated/ventilated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, customizable interior ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker Beats Audio stereo system, wireless charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and built-in navigation.
Cosmetic changes aside, one significant change to the lineup is the addition of adaptive cruise control and lane centering assist to the base model, making it available on all trims. Other standard safety features include blindspot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert.
All 2024 VW Taos trims ship with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 158 horsepower, providing unimpressive but smooth riding and superior acceleration. There is more optionality with the drive type and transmission as you can pick between a front-drive, eight-speed automatic combo or a seven-speed dual-clutch paired with all-wheel drive.
