2023 Wrangler
In the North American market, the Jeep Wrangler needs no introduction.
The most popular jeep on the market draws on all of its uncontested rich American heritage, showing respect to its military ancestors who were a crucial part of the Allies' push in World War II while bringing a modern outfit and promising an untrammeled sense of adventure.
For 2023, The Wrangler retains its position as one of the most customizable entries in its class, offering an elaborate range of trims (spanning a dramatic price spectrum) that you can dress up for city use, light off-roading, or rugged mountainous terrain, albeit with graduated powertrain options that bring respectable all-terrain credentials on even the lowest-priced models.
All 2023 Wranglers come with part-time four-wheel drive controlled by a dashboard lever and other dedicated off-roading features like front and rear locking differentials and ample ground clearance that ranges from 10.8 inches to 12.9 inches, which is some of the best in its class.
You also get the same iconic exterior, options for multiple body and roof setups, and that love-or-hate-it trucky handling and ride demeanor that is part of the Wrangler’s signature.
New for 2023 is Jeep's addition of a new limited Freedom Edition of the Wrangler that features a boasty military-toned exterior, rock rails on both sides and a sturdy steel front bumper. Other modifications to the lineup include the new designs for the 17-inch wheels of the Rubicon.
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler also retains a similar profile under the hood, with the base 285-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine returning from last year. Optional pieces include mild hybrids that pair either the 3.6-liter or a turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor to produce a similar power output, a 3-liter diesel V-6, a 375-horsepower plug-in hybrid available on the 4xe model, and the range-topping 470-hp 6.4-liter V-8 that is present on the Rubicon 392.
All engines can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a smooth eight-speed automatic.
