About The DS 3 Crossback

2018 saw the release of the DS 3 Crossback, manufactured by the French automaker Citroen under their luxury sub-brand.

Underneath the car is the same platform put to use under the Opel Corsa and Peugeot 208, and much of the parent DS 3 model’s features.

It’s classed as a subcompact crossover SUV, bringing the positives of the SUV segment of the car market without the negatives.

The driving position is higher with ample room inside the cab for occupants, cargo and comfort/safety features.

It lacks the offroad equipment typically associated with SUVs meaning that it is much lighter and so requires smaller engines to power it.

This leads to the DS3 Crossback practical car with low running costs that is easy to drive – although it doesn’t go offroad – not a problem for most drivers in today’s world.

Customers can choose from petrol, diesel or an all-electric drivetrain underneath their DS 3 with a manual or an automatic gearbox for the fuel-driven versions.

The electric version of the DS 3 (known as the E-Tense) can travel up to 206 miles on a full battery.
