About The Tarraco

The Tarraco is a mid-size crossover SUV that has been in production by SEAT since 2018. There has only been one generation since its initial debut.

It debuted at the 2018 Paris Motor Show as a sort of replacement for the discontinued SEAT Alhambra.

It is the largest SUV currently offered by the Spanish manufacturer and is considered the bigger sibling to the SEAT Arona and SEAT Ateca.

The 5-door SUV is capable of front-wheel or all-wheel drive with the right trim options. It is built on the VW Group MQB A2 platform.

The biggest rivals for the Tarraco are the Škoda Kodiaq and the Peugeot 5008. Another notable model is the Volkswagen Tiguan.

SEAT has released four trim levels. These consist of the base SE, the upgraded SE Technology, the mid-tier XCELLENCE, and finally the premium XCELLENCE LUX.

At launch, there were only two petrol engines on offer. However, the petrol engine options now consist of a 1.5-liter TSI inline-4 and two 2-liter TSI 4Drive inline-4 engines. Diesel options consist of an RWD 2-liter TDI SCR and a 2-liter TDI SCR 4Drive.

Transmission options include either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed direct shift gearbox, depending on the trim level. All four-wheel drive versions come with the DSG option.

SEAT recently released a hybrid version called the Tarraco e-Hybrid. This version is offered for the FR-Line and XCELLENCE trim packages. It is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI e-Hybrid engine with a 86 kW electric motor.
