Sat in the middle of the twelfth generation, the 2012 Ford F-150 came in many different flavors.
You could buy your F-150 with any of the following 10 trims during this year:
- XL
- STX
- XLT
- FX2
- FX4
- Lariat
- King Ranch
- Platinum
- Harley-Davidson
- SVT Raptor
With the wide range of trims came the abundance of choice when it came to engines as well, you could fit an economical 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 through to a powerful 5.4-liter V8.
In terms of transmission, you were able to have a 4-speed or 6-speed automatic transferring the power from the engine to all four wheels depending on trim level.
