2023 Porsche Macan Owner’s Manual

Porsche first entered the world of SUVs with the Cayenne, a mid-size SUV that, true to the Porsche brand, quickly established itself as one of the most aggressive, performance-oriented SUVs you can buy.

However, if you want an SUV that leans even more towards its sports car roots, you can overlook the smaller, compact Macan. The 2023 Porsche Macan continues this trend, providing an even sportier SUV with an exciting driving demeanor, perky engine options, and a racy Porsche silhouette to match.

While the Macan features less cabin and cargo space than most of the top competitors in this market segment, it does not pretend that practicality is its strongest suite. However, this spirited small SUV makes up for its puny interior storage cubbies and small cargo hold with its strong alignment to the band’s sporting ethos.

The base engine that ships with the lowest Macan trims is a sprightly 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that outputs 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Up from there is a significantly beefed up twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 that ships with the S trim and outputs a ridiculous (for such a small vehicle) 375 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. That still isn’t enough? The 434-horsepower twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 available on the range-topping GTS trim provides straight overkill for any situation.

All 2023 Porsche Macan models have a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

For the 2023 release, Porsche also introduces a new Macan T trim that ships with the base engine and features the company’s renowned Sport Chrono package (complete with a launch-control system and a set of driving modes) and an adaptive suspension system as standard offerings.
