2024 Ford Focus Owner’s Manual

The Ford Focus, which came to be synonymous with a "fun-to-drive family car" was launched by the brand in Europe in the 90s as a replacement for their boring Escort, bringing a radical new edge style and dramatically improved handling that quickly catapulted it to the forefront of Ford’s revival in that decade.

However, all good things come to an end, as Ford is sunsetting the Ford Focus in 2025, making the 2024 Ford Focus the last offering under this nameplate unless Ford decides to revive it in the future.

This model, which once ranked as one of Ford’s best-selling, is one of the victims of Ford’s cutback on production and planned switch to an all-electric lineup by 2030.

Ford announced that it would stop manufacturing at its Saarlouis plant in Germany, where the Focus is produced, in 2025, shifting the bulk of production to its Valencia plant in Spain, which will handle its next generation of electric-focus nameplates.

The new 2024 Ford Focus will unsurprisingly feature only slight stylistic changes compared to last year’s model. The new release will remain available in both hatchback and sedan form factors and feature the same 1-liter three-cylinder lightly turbocharged engine from last year in Europe and the U.K. The engine comes mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission and supports three driving modes – standard, economy, and sport.

On the outside, you can expect the car’s silhouette to remain unchanged except on the new S Edition, which draws inspiration from the discontinued Ford Focus RS.

Depending on the trim, you should get two-tone seats, carbon fiber paneling, suede finishings, a perforated leather steering wheel, and blue and red accents. A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster come standard on all trims.
