A car named Peugeot 2008, unveiled in 2013, is a testament to the gaffes that can sometimes occur with Peugeot’s heavily-number-based naming system. However, nomenclature aside, Peugeot is up there as one of the most competitive car brands in many categories.

The Peugeot 2008, one of the company's main entries in the ruthless B-segment crossovers, gets a refreshing facelift with that 2024 Peugeot 2008 with visual updates that pile on even more heat for its closest competitors like the Nissan Juke, Ford Puma, and Volkswagen T-Cross.

The 2008 was already one of the most stylish options (both with its exterior profile and interior fittings) in this price range and market segment; hence, it is no surprise that Peugeot retained most of what made the car tick for this release.

The major cosmetic update to the exterior is the incorporation of the new updated Peugeot lion badge that now sits top-center of the front grille. The front bumper has triple vertical lights on both sides, designed in the same menacing claw-like motif that appears on many of Peugeot’s newest offerings. The back of the vehicle also saw modification with the addition of LED reverse lights and turn signals and changing the LED taillights to ones that bear a similar design to the “claw” lights in front, featuring three horizontal double slats.

Entering the cabin, you meet the same aesthetic as the previous model, with most major changes appearing in the dashboard area. You now get a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system on all trims, up from the seven inches that came with some of last year’s releases. A new 10-inch digital gauge cluster also appears on the Allure and GT trims, while the base trip maintains the analog setup from the previous year.

Under the hood, the base 2024 Peugeot 2008 retains the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that outputs 100 HP paired with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Alternatively, you can opt for a 1.5-liter diesel engine that outputs 130 horsepower, but it is only available with an automatic transmission.
