About The C3 Picasso
The C3 Picasso is a 5-door mini multi-purpose vehicle created by the French car manufacturer Citroen. It debuted at the Paris Motor Show as an MPV minivan version of the Citroen C3. The successor of the Xsara Picasso, the C3 Picasso was produced to better compete against the Nissan Note, the Renault Modus and other similar vehicles.
For the Spanish market, three trim levels were created, the LX, SX and the Exclusive. Sales began in the UK a year after the initial release in 2009. 2012 saw a redesign ready for the Paris Motor Show and from its showcase to manufacture, took less than 12 months.
Its “Exclusive” trim was the most expensive of the range with a great number of additional features. These included roof rails and an unusual folding passenger seat. When this passenger seat was folded, it allowed for a huge amount of cargo space throughout the whole vehicle.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the C3 Picasso Exclusive offered tinted windows, leather and chrome interior, automatic windscreen wipers, rear parking sensors, a pollen filter and automatic climate control.
All C3 Picasso models from 2012 had ABS as standard with the ability to fold flat the three rear seats, again to allow for additional space.
The C3 Picasso shared the same platform with both the Citroen C3 and the Peugeot 207. As a result, these vehicles shared incredibly similar wheelbases (a practice very common amongst newer models to allow for the costs to be kept low). The engine configurations available were a 1.6-liter engine which could reach 117 mph with a 120 hp, a 1.6-liter engine and 1.4-liter petrol.
