About The Lyriq

The Lyriq is Cadillac’s first fully electric vehicle that rivals Mercedes EQS and BMW iX. This mid-luxury crossover is manufactured and marketed by the Cadillac subdivision of General Motors. The name Lyriq follows a pattern of several prior Cadillac concepts of naming their vehicles, including the Provoq, Evoq, and Celestiq.

Cadillac says the 2024 Lyriq will be available in the market this Spring and offers the best glimpse yet of Cadillac’s future with stylish bodywork and luxurious interior. Also worth noting is that the car shares its technology with the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck because it is equipped with GM’s Ultium scalable battery architecture—102 kWh.

The Cadillac Lyriq comes with a standard 253.5 kW (340 hp) electric motor on the rear axle. During a test by Car and Driver, it achieved a speed of 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The rear-wheel drive models have an estimated range of 495.6 km (308 miles), while the all-wheel drive models are expected to deliver a nearly identical range of 494 km (307 miles).

The all-wheel drive models have more torque and horsepower, so they are the ones to get if performance is a priority for you. They have a dual motor setup, with one motor at the rear axle and the other at the front. These motors are estimated to give out a combined output of 372.8 kW (500 hp) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque. In a test, AWD Lyriq moved from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

Also worth noting is that DC fast-charging capability is standard on all trims, Tech, Luxury, and sport. The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq comes with a 33.0-inch curved advanced LED touchscreen behind the steering wheel to serve as a driver gauge display. The screen also forms a slight curve towards the centre of the dashboard and transitions into an infotainment display.
