About The 300

The Chrysler 300 is a full-size car that was brought in during 2005 to replace several lines such as the 300M and the Concorde.

It has come as a sedan or station wagon during its lifetime with most examples being rear-wheel-drive with only a few being made as four-wheel-drive.

Engines range from modest entry-level turbodiesels through to the performance-focused 6.4-liter V8’s in the SRT trim.

The 300 has an amazing list of features and options, so Chrysler has put together these owner’s manual to help you understand the car and its many capabilities.

Originally the car took many components and design elements from other automakers in the Chrysler brand such as the Dodge Charger and Challenger.

Sales for the model have been huge as it was pushed in many different regions around the world thanks to its adaptability from various trim options.

Currently, the 300 is in its second generation receiving only slight updates to its appearance in 2011.

Inside the car though, technology has been massively upgraded to include LED headlights, a 10-speaker Beat by Dre sound system and paddle shifters.

The most recent SRT trim features Brembo brakes and a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 pushing 470bhp to the rear wheels.

2015 brought a face-lift to the current generation of Chrysler 300’s with subtle design changes by plenty of new techs inside.

A digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, BlueTooth streaming and lane-keeping assistant systems were all added in 2015.

When ordering this 2015 onward model of 300 you can choose the level of trim from a long list, including:

  • C
  • C Luxury Series
  • C Platinum
  • Limited
  • LX
  • Motown
  • S
  • SRT8
  • SRT8 Core
  • Touring
  • Touring Plus
  • Uptown Edition

Thanks to massive investment by the American automobile manufacturer the 300 scores a 5 out of 5 stars with testing agency Euro NCAP in 2011.
