About The Pacifica

The Chrysler Pacifica minivan entered production in 2016 as a replacement for the Town and Country model that served the manufacturer for almost 30 years.

These owner’s manuals explore the most important aspects of this car and how you can use them to your advantage.

This information will be useful for both new and current owners of the Chrysler Pacifica, as well as those who are interested in purchasing one.

This minivan shares its Pacifica badge with a crossover SUV that was discontinued also by the Chrysler company produced in 2003 through to 2007.

According to experts, the car is said to be stealing customers away from both the minivan and SUV models as it has found the perfect blend of the 2 types of classifications.

A modern Pacifica minivan has 2 options of powerplant, a 3.6-liter V6 or a hybrid engine that can run for 33 miles on electricity alone.

The transmissions that come with the 2 engines include a 9-speed automatic for the non-hybrid and an e-CVT for the hybrid.

Safety ratings for the car are brilliant with it scoring 5 out of 5 for everything apart from the risk of rollover due to its height and higher center of gravity.

In the 2020 model year, the low-end budget versions of the Pacifica are being sold under the revamped Voyager badge.

Aside from this trim option, you can also buy the car with the following trims applied to it:

  • L
  • Limited
  • LX
  • Pinnacle
  • Platinum
  • Premium
  • Touring
  • Touring Plus
  • Touring-L
  • Touring-L Plus

In 2021 the Pacifica is going to be available with a four-wheel-drive option for the first time for the non-hybrid model and an Andriod-powered infotainment system.

The Pacifica has earned many awards from various publications in its short life already mainly in categories such as “best family car” and “best utility vehicle”.

FAQ's

Q: How do you adjust the driver-seat memory in the Chrysler Pacifica?

A: Start the car as normal and set up the driver-seat position, the steering wheel and finally the radio options to your liking. Once you have finished setting up your ideal driving position and entertainment settings press the S button on your car door that is between a 1 and a 2 button - then within 5 seconds press the number next to it that you want to assign to your driving profile.

Q: How do you start a Chrysler Pacifica with a dead key-fob?

A: If you have the error [key-fob not detected] appear even though your key-fob is in the car then you most likely have a dead key-fob battery. To start the car even with a dead battery in the key-fob you can push the start-stop button with the key-fob (ensuring that your foot is pressed down on the brake as usual) and the car should start the engine.

Q: Is the Chrysler Pacifica a minivan or SUV?

A: It is primarily a minivan but by adding the optional four-wheel-drive you could argue that the car becomes a crossover SUV. You probably couldn't take the car off-road even with the four-wheel-drive option but you could definitely increase the traction in a light off-road setting.

Q: Which is better, the Pacifica or the Town and Country?

A: The Chrysler Pacifica replaced the Town and Country in 2017 and many would say that the car is a lot better. It sports a much more modern and stylish appearance in order to keep up with the trend towards crossover SUVs. Inside the Pacifica minivan, you will find better comfort and safety features but less cargo space than the Town and Country. For fuel economy, the Pacifica is slightly better by about 5% thanks to its hybrid technologies and more efficient engines.

Q: Is the Chrysler Pacifica made in the USA?

A: All Chrysler Pacifica's (as of 2021) are assembled in Ontario Canada alongside the Voyager minivan.
