About The Passport

Originally a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo, the Honda Passport became its own unique vehicle in 2018 when the nameplate was revived.

With the Passport owner’s manual, you can learn all about this vehicle and how to take care of it.

Many of the model years-specific PDF versions of the manual can be found on this page to download for free.

It ran for less than a decade as the copied car and during that time went through 2 redesigns although sales never really went anywhere.

In 2018 the Passport was brought back and reintroduced to the North American market with assembly now taking place in Alabama.

Underneath the newer third-generation models buyers will find the same platform as the Honda Pilot and Acura MDX.

The main change between this and the donor cars is that the Honda Passport has 2 rows of seats compared to their 3, they are also longer.

As standard, the SUV is a front-wheel-drive to cut down on weight but customers can opt for a four-wheel-drive drive-train apart from in the highest level trim where it is included.

Apart from that highest level trim you can also buy the car with any one of the following trims applied to it:

  • DX
  • Elite
  • EX
  • EX-L
  • LX
  • Sport
  • Touring

Inside the car is a marvel of technology with the latest infotainment systems and driver assist technology included as standard.

Engine and transmission choices for the new Passport is limited to just one 3.5 litre V6 mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

An intelligent four-wheel drive management system can be added to the car for an additional cost to help it traverse different terrains.

In terms of sales, the new version that was released in 2018 has already set a new record for the model in terms of sales per year.
