2018 Murano

Nissan Murano Photo

The 2018 Murano is Nissan’s attempt to fill the gap between budget cars for the masses and more expensive luxury cars. The car is successful in its aims, offering better features than the company’s previous attempts with the Rogue crossover.

The Murano builds on its predecessor, the Rogue in a few key areas. One of these areas is style. It features an all-new design, that is designed to look luxurious without costing the company too much money. The car sports new swept-back headlights, a V-motion grille and is even 8 inches longer than the Rogue crossover.

The interior design has also been renovated to add to the luxury of the Murano. For instance, you’ll find metallic trim along the body and around the infotainment system and dash. As for the infotainment system, Nissan has opted for an 8-inch touchscreen and 7-inch gauge-cluster display. The touchscreen is easy to use whilst driving, and the Murano is overall very well equipped with useful features like cruise control.

Under the hood, you’ll find a naturally aspirated V6, producing 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet or torque. This engine is fairly lackluster compared to the Murano’s rivals and will get the car from 0-60 in a modest 7.3 seconds.

The 2018 Murano received an overall safety rating of 4 stars, which is very respectable. So, if you’re looking for a car that you know you can trust, the car is a great choice.

The biggest problem with the Murano is its price. It aims to be a budget-friendly car but starts at around £30,000. You can buy a car with much better equipment and specs for this price range, which suggests that the model is too expensive for what it offers. The engine also produces a horrible noise the more it’s used, which can become very annoying.
