2021 Grandland X
- Manufacturer: Opel/Vauxhall
- Model: Grandland X
2021 was the last year for this model to don the Grandland X model name before it was simplified to just "Grandland".
In the UK it is sold as a Vauxhall and in the rest of Europe, it is sold under the sibling Opel brand.
It is classed as a compact crossover SUV and uses the chassis from the popular Astra hatchback.
It was intended to be the replacement for the Zafira compact MPV when it was originally launched in 2017 although both models lapped about a year or two.
Instead of being a people-carrier like the Zafira, it embodied the properties that the auto market is looking for right now.
Customers are going wild for crossover SUVs like the Grandland X because they have the same benefits as an SUV, like a high driving position and masses of space inside.
They also lack any real offroad equipment (like this Grandland X being built on the Astra platform) and so are much lighter, requiring smaller engines and so reduced costs.
You can learn about the technology and driver aids built into the 2021 car in the PDF version of the owner's manual on this site.
The document covers everything from driving safety tips through to DIY maintenance and schedules to keep to in order to retain your Grandland X's value.
