2023 Q3
Audi is one of the best at maintaining uniformity across their lineup, an ethos that shines especially in its luxury subcompact SUV offering, the Audi Q3. The 2023 Audi Q3 is a mini version of the Q8, and as such, it inherits many of the same standout Audi qualities native to its bigger brother.
The Q3 sports a handsome, sleek design, a sophisticated modern interior, and a smooth, refined, decidedly-audi-themed ride character. The Q3 is a subcompact SUV that offers a healthy serving of luxury and technology in a small package, providing decent competition to category leaders like the Volvo XC40 and the BMW X1.
However, the Q3 also has some practical drawbacks, such as a tight rear seat and limited cargo space, as it focuses all its chops on providing a stylish and classy SUV over maximizing roominess. The Q3 is not as spacious as its competitors, like the BMW X1, the Volvo XC40, and the Mercedes-Benz GLA-class, but it sure can match them all in elegance, and it drives like an Audi should.
For 2023, Audi does little to modify its winning formula, instead opting to add minor refinements that enhance the already luxurious package further.
Upgrades to the cabin significantly improve the driving position, the layout of controls is significantly more user-friendly, and there are bits and pieces where more opulent materials have replaced outgoing fittings. Other changes include a redesigned wireless charging pad, three new wheel designs, and the availability of the Black Optic package on the Premium 40 model of the Q3.
Under the hood, things remain essentially unchanged as they should, given that the Q3 already excels in this department.
The powertrain features a four-cylinder turbocharged engine that can be tuned to produce either 184 horsepower or 228 HP. The engine comes mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive, both standard.
