About The Venue

Sat on the subcompact Accent platform, the Hyundai Venue is essentially the crossover SUV version of that car.

It still has the standard on-road chassis from its donor car but with a larger body sat on top giving the car ample room for passengers and cargo.

Without the heavy off-road equipment the car is lighter, only needs a smaller engine and so is less expensive to run.

This is the smallest crossover SUV on offer from the South-Korean automaker with the Kona sat just above it in the company’s range.

It was first introduced in the 2019 model year with 3 different versions on offer made in 3 separate plants around the world (South Korea, India & Taiwan).

Engines on offer under the hood range from a pokey 1-liter turbocharged through to a torquey 1.5-liter turbodiesel powering the Venue.

Mated to these engines is a choice of CVT, automatic, manual or clutchless manual transmissions.

Many driver-aids have been fitted to the car including lane-keep-assist and pedestrian detection to name a few.
