About The Sequoia

Based mechanically on the Tundra pickup, the Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV currently in its second generation of design.

The car is manufactured in the USA but is exported to other countries such as Canada, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.

Production started in the year 2000 with customers getting delivered their first cars in 2001 with production continuing ever since.

This model was originally going to be called the Highlander but they decided to use that on a mid-sized SUV instead that is based on the Camry.

You can find out how to take care of your vehicle, what accessories are available for purchase, and much more using the owner’s manuals on this page.

The Toyota Sequoia is very similar to the Tundra with the exception of this example having rear disk brakes and a more sophisticated rear axle layout.

You can order the SUV in a variety of trims including:

  • Limited
  • Nightshade
  • Platinum
  • SR5
  • TRD Pro
  • TRD Sport

Engine choices were pretty limited, they were all V8 and mated to either a 4 or 5-speed automatic transmission.
