2017 Octavia

The 2017 Skoda Octavia is a sedan that aims to rival incredibly popular competitors, such as the Ford Fusion and Honda Accord. It might not stand out in terms of looks or performance, but the Octavia will offer you solid performance, reliability and technology for a very reasonable price. So if you’re looking for a good all-rounder, the Octavia might just be for you.

The 2017 model has received a facelift, making it somewhat different from the 2016 Skoda Octavia. The company felt the model looked a little dated, so have given the Octavia a new headlight design and raised foglamps. These changes aren’t revolutionary, but they’ve certainly made the Octavia feel more modern and refreshed. The performance of the 2017 model hasn’t been changed.

Under the hood, the Octavia comes equipped with a variety of options to fulfil your needs. The best of the bunch is probably the 1.0-liter petrol, which develops 113 horsepower. This allows the Octavia to accelerate from 0-60 in just under ten seconds. Whilst it’s not the fastest sedan on the market, the Octavia’s performance is very respectable, and more than enough for everyday situations.

As for the overall ride, the Octavia is very respectable. The suspension is soft enough to allow for a comfortable ride, yet not too soft as to compromise performance. And the steering, whilst not as exciting as some competitors like the Honda Accord, is sharp and agile and makes the Octavia great in corners.

The interior of the 2017 Octavia is also very respectable. The interior is spacious and stylish and there’s a decent amount of cargo space too. This makes the Octavia one of the most practical sedans on the market. There’s some decent tech as standard as well, like a touchscreen infotainment centre.
