2017 Toyota Corollas are among the last of the eleventh-generation that were brought in during 2013 in North America.
These models are built on the MC Platform developed in-house which is also put to use under the 2017 RAV4 and 2017 Prius.
For the USA the car was classed as a compact car and was made available in four different trim levels:
- L
- LE
- LE Eco
- S
It is said that with this generation Toyota focused on fuel efficiency, improving both the aerodynamics and engine performance to achieve its goals.
The use of stronger steel and a redesigned floor plan helped the car gain rigidity while losing weight and safety for the passengers inside.
In terms of technology, the 2017 Corolla featured an electric power steering system that was lighter and more responsive than previous pump-driven versions.
LED lighting in the front allowed the car to stand out against the rest of the compact car market with this model being the first to offer LED headlights as standard.
