Audi’s SUV models have been extremely popular since their launch and have competed strongly in a crowded sector. The 2019 model didn’t bring any major changes over the 2018 to the design, but it was noted for making a number of previously optional features into standard ones.

New standard features for the 2019 Audi Q5 included heated front seats, an attractive aluminum trim, a 7-inch gauge-cluster display, and rear electric child locks. The 3 trim levels included Premium (from $43,945), Premium Plus (from $50,945), and Prestige (from $54,845). The Prestige also received a wireless charging pad as an additional standard feature.

The powertrain for the 2019 Q5 is a 2.0L 4-cylinder unit outputting a pleasing 252-hp and boasting a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 5.8 seconds. Despite its lower price point, it has been favorably compared even to the higher-end Porsche Macan S. Its small but mighty 4-cylinder engine outperforms even V6 engines.

With such power and a smooth, and a seamless 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s signature quattro AWD system along with it, the Audi Q5 feels comfortable and at ease both in busy city streets and at high speeds on the highway.

The interior is comfortable for up to 4 tall adults, and the cabin is nice and quiet on the road thanks to a well-appointed suspension. The cockpit in particular becomes a class-leading setup when you elevate the Q5 through the trim levels to gain the impressive Audi Virtual Cockpit with its built-in navigation and all-digital system on a flawless 12.3-inch display.

Cargo space is generous at 25.1 cubic feet, and you can raise that to 53.1 cubic feet with the rear seats down. A stellar 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA, as well as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and optional adaptive cruise control make the Q5 an impressively safe and dependable SUV.
