2019 Sorento
When the Kia Sorento first entered showrooms in 2002 it was classed as a compact SUV.
It was built on a chassis capable of going off-road and towing heavy loads behind it, popular with caravan enthusiasts for its low price tag.
In 2009, the second-generation Sorento was introduced to the market and now it was a mid-size crossover SUV.
Kia cast aside the heavy off-road equipment such as the transfer box and redesigned the car o be a lot lighter.
These changes led to a 475-pound lighter car with much lower running costs and a friendly eco-footprint.
Straight away sales quadrupled and have stayed high ever since thanks to new generations and face-lifts being applied to the model.
For 2019 the Sorento received a face-lift that brought a new grille and bumper covers, LED position lights and LED daytime running lights.
To aid the driver an attention warning system was added to detect fatigue as well as new engine options across all trims.
For a full list of the 2019 model year features added to the Kia Sorento you can check out the official owner's manual, of which a copy exists here.
