2021 Tipo
The original Fiat Tipo name goes back to a model sold in the late 1980s through the mid-1990s.
It was a small family car that sold extremely well in some Latin countries thanks to its ample legroom due to its boxy design.
Eventually, in 1995 the Tipo was discontinued and replaced by the Bravo/Brava.
Then in 2015, the nameplate was brought back to life as a similar shape compact car with a much more modern design.
It competes with many European compact cars such as the SEAT León and the Volkswagen Golf.
This newer Fiat Tipo was available as a sedan/saloon or station wagon/estate as well as the standard hatchback shape offered previously.
In Mexico, the car is sold as the Dodge Neon and in Turkey, it is known as the Egea.
For the 2021 year, the model gained a new engine option, a 3-cylinder 999cc turbocharged gasoline - possibly to help it sell in China.
In terms of safety, the car scored 3 out of 5 stars with Euro NCAP and if you upgraded to the "safety pack" the car earns one more star with that agency.
To learn more about the safety equipment included in the car it is advised that you read through the manual.
