2021 Genesis G70 Owner’s Manual

The first Genesis G70 models came onto the market in 2018, just a few years before this 2021 example.

It's a 4-door compact executive car that is manufactured by Hyundai but sold under its luxury brand Genesis.

Underneath the car is much of the same mechanics as the Kia Stinger but with a more premium offering and finish.

You can buy the G70 in one of two body styles - as a sedan or a shooting brake (sort of like a stylish station wagon).

It is styled very much like the rest of the luxury model range which started in 2015 as the company spun off the Genesis nameplate into its own brand.

The Genesis became the G80 which bears much of the same design language as this model.

For 2021 the G70 lost its 2-liter turbocharged trim but the upper 3.3-liter turbocharged trim gained a bunch of new features.

Now the upper trim comes with a heated steering wheel, adaptive headlights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.

You can continue to purchase the car with one of two engines, one gasoline and the other is a turbodiesel.

Both of these are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission now that the 6-speed manual option is dropped (it was only available on the 2-liter turbo model).
