For 2021 the Range Rover Velar was enhanced with a new range of engines when bought new.
A diesel engine with a mild-hybrid was added to the order sheet alongside a plug-in hybrid that can travel for 33 miles on electricity alone.
That plug-in hybrid version (called the P400e) combines an electric motor, battery pack and a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
This combination of electric motor and petrol engine can work together to push 400bhp and 472lb-ft of torque.
JLR took this engine option from the Jaguar F-Type and mated it to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Inside the compact luxury crossover SUV 2021 Velar, the infotainment system has seen a massive upgrade.
Land Rover have added their new Pivi and Pivi Pro operating systems to the touchscreen devices that integrate with the car.
It still runs on a dual-screen setup but with much-improved graphics and layout - most of the functions can be accessed with just two taps of the screen.
Built into this new system is a 360-degree view camera system for the Velar that allows the driver to see everything around the car.
