About The Ioniq 7
The Ioniq 7, stylized as IONIQ Concept SEVEN, was first unveiled by Hyundai in 2023. The model’s worldwide premiere is set to air on November 25, 2023. According to the Korean manufacturer, it will hopefully be ready for production and sale in 2024.
Of course, concepts are subject to change during the initial production process. However, Hyundai has reported that the final version is expected to be incredibly similar to the concept in terms of both interior and exterior styling.
The IONIQ SEVEN concept has illustrated the manufacturer’s desire to make the model’s interior very unique. Rather than the typical three-seater layout, the concept model boasts a comfortable living space, all built on the E-GMP Platform.
Battery capacity is still unknown at this point, but it is expected to follow Hyundai’s other EV offerings and allows for a 300+ mile range.
In addition to this, it has been reported that it will be able to charge from 10 to 80 % in just 20 minutes via a 350 kW DC charger.
Being similar in size to the Hyundai Palisade means that this EV will likely compete with other fully-electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y, Genesis GV80, and Kia EV9.
There is still a large amount of information yet to be released for the model, so be sure to check back regularly for any updates. Many of these unanswered questions will likely be covered after the official premiere in late 2023.
Going off of what we know about the model’s smaller sibling, the IONIQ 5, the 5-door SEVEN will likely be offered with a single rear-motor, rear-wheel drivetrain or a dual-motor, all-wheel drivetrain.
