2024 Opel/Vauxhall Mokka Owner’s Manual

German automaker Opel’s switch in ownership from General Motors to PSA (now Stellantis) in 2017 necessitated a change in many of their vehicles, including the Mokka, which switched from the original GM models to ones based on platforms shared with Citroen and Peugeot models.

The 2024 Opel Mokka retains most of the structural change and the accompanying aesthetic modifications that came during that era, sporting the low aggressive grille, a two-box design, and a platform five inches shorter than previous generation models.

This compact crossover currently retails under different names depending on the market. While it is best known worldwide as the Opel Mokka, it sells as the Buick Encore in North America and China and as the Vauxhall Mokka in the United Kingdom.

Inside, you meet a simple, uncluttered, clean cabin that does not stand out. The Mokka interior features mostly cloth upholstery, leatherette finishings, and soft-touch plastic panels. You could also get leather seats, a leather-covered steering wheel, and leather gear shift knobs on higher trims.

Media-wise, the small touchscreen infotainment unit gets the job done with support for Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. A navigation system, a higher-end sound system, and a wireless charging pad are optional upgrades for a more premium user experience.

Automatic climate control comes standard with all models, while some hire trims may also feature heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The 2024 Opel/Vauxhall Mokka also offers a robust range of powertrains with three different systems.

The gasoline unit is a three-cylinder 1.2-liter engine that produces either 100 or 130 HP, depending on the trim; the diesel option produces 110 horsepower off a four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine, while an electric option (sold in a separately branded Mokka-e) features a front-mounted 156-horsepower electric motor with a 200-mile-range 50 kWh battery.
