About The Mokka

Sitting at the bottom of the Opel/Vauxhall crossover SUV range in the subcompact class is the Mokka.

It’s built on the same platform used by the Corsa and Citroen C4 but with a slightly uprated suspension to deal with increased body weight.

Engines for the first-generation varied from a modest 1.4-liter turbo through to a 1.7-liter turbodiesel with automatic or manual transmission options.

When the second generation came onto sale the choice was reduced to just 1 gasoline and 1 diesel engine but a hybrid drivetrain option was added.

The Mokka-e is an all-electric version of the car capable of driving up to 201 miles on a single charge, depending on what mode you put it into.

Second-generation Vauxhall Mokka’s came on sale in 2020 are built in France and exported around Europe.

Originally the car was called the Mokka X but when the second-generation model was introduced the company simplified it and removed the “X” from the name.

In the USA and China, the Mokka is sold as the Buick Encore with slightly more luxury features, although the styling is very similar on the outside.
