About The E-Pace

Production of the Jaguar E-Pace began in 2017 as part of the company’s move into the SUV world.

It is classed as a compact luxury crossover SUV with no real offroad equipment underneath the car is designed to stay on the road.

It is part of a 3 model range that Jaguar offers that also includes the I-Pace and the F-Pace, the difference is this model uses a completely different platform.

Those two other crossover SUVs are built on the D7 platform shared with the XE and XF that incorporates a lot of aluminum in their design.

This E-Pace is built with steel and smaller displacement engines as a more affordable offering compared to the other two.

It shares this PTA platform with the Range Rover Evoque and the newer Land Rover Discovery Sport.

You can only find the E-Pace as a 5-door with the engine in the front powering the front wheels as standard – a four-wheel-drive option is available to upgrade too.

In North America, you can find the car on sale with only one choice of engine, a 2-liter gasoline that can either be tuned to 247bhp or 296bhp.

The car is offered with either a mild-hybrid or a plugin-in hybrid drivetrain, with the latter being able to be charged using a mains outlet.
