About The Partner

The Peugeot Partner is a series of multipurpose vehicles that have been manufactured by Peugeot and PSA Group since 1996. During its time on the market, there were two generations released.

It was later replaced by the Peugeot Rifter.

It bares a huge number of similarities with its corporate twin, the Citroën Berlingo. Other similar models include its siblings in the van range. These were the smaller Bipper model and the larger Expert.

There is also a passenger carrier variant called the Partner Tepee. Tepee is often used by Peugeot to indicate a passenger carrying focus in their MPVs.

It also faced competition from the likes of the Volkswagen Caddy and Opel Combo.

Trim levels consist of four options. These were the Partner S, Partner Grip, Professional, and Asphalt. Unlike the traditional trim level setup, the Partner S and Partner Grip versions were geared to focus on fleet operation and construction work respectively. Professional and Asphalt were outfitted similarly to regular cars.

Powertrains include petrol and diesel engines. Petrol engine options for the latest version were limited to a single turbocharged 1.2-liter Puretech inline-3. Diesel options consisted of either a 1.5-liter BlueHDI inline-4 or a 1.6-liter HDi inline-4. The larger diesel engine was also sold as the BlueHDi.

Peugeot reserved the fully-electric powertrain for the newer model in the van range. This is the e-Rifter.

The engines were mated with 5-speed or 6-speed manual gearboxes or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
