The 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC is a luxury SUV that has updated the 2016 GLC considerably. This 2018 models feature a simply beautiful interior, a brilliant ride and even the availability of a plug-in hybrid model. The 2018 model does, however, fail to draw attention with its boring exterior and equally dull performance. It’s also one of the most expensive luxury SUVs on the market. Nevertheless, the 2018 Mercedes Benz is incredibly successful, and a worthy match for rivals like the BMW X3 and the Jaguar F-Pace.

Under the hood, all 2018 GLC models come equipped with a 2.0-liter incline 4-cylinder engine, producing 241 horsepower thanks to the help of a turbocharger. This engine is accompanied by an automatic transmission, which for some, is a big problem. Automatic transmissions such as the system fitted on the GLC really take away from the driver experience, and when you pay as much for a car like this, you certainly don’t want to feel detached from the car.

If you’re looking to add some electric power, Mercedes also offers a hybrid version, using the same engine and producing 320 horsepower. This is a great choice and also improves fuel economy. It is much pricier than the standard engine though.

The overall ride feels incredibly refined. Its soft suspension will soak up pretty much every bump on the road, which makes the 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC one of the comfiest SUVs on the market. The steering also feels light and makes the GLC agile even in tight bends.

As for the interior, the GLC has one of the best on the market. Drivers will be greeted by a stylish trim made of very high-quality materials, which will remind you of how expensive the car really is. There’s plenty of infotainment too, like the 7-inch touchscreen which comes as standard.
