2018 Ignis
The 2018 Suzuki Ignis is a small SUV that aims to compete in a competitive market by standing out with its funky styling. The Ignis offers a fun drive, with a good engine and decent handling. It does, however, fall short of its rivals, like the Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage, in some areas, such as practicality and infotainment. Overall, the Ignis is a good choice if you plan to do a lot of town driving, but if you want a real worker, you might want to consider an alternative small SUV.
The 2018 model doesn’t make any notable changes over the 2017 model. A few things have been tinkered with, such as what you’ll get with each spec, but other than this, the 2018 model is exactly the same as its predecessors.
Under the hood, the 2018 Suzuki Ignis comes equipped with a 1.2-liter petrol engine. This might not sound like much, but the engine does offer good performance and it’s actually a lot of fun to drive. The engine is best suited to city driving though, and you may struggle to keep up if you start overtaking on the motorway. All in all, though, the engine was a great choice by Suzuki.
As for the overall ride, the 2018 Ignis is pretty comfy. The suspension helps to soak up a lot of the road’s imperfections, leaving you with a very comfortable ride. Although, the steering does let the Ignis down. In corners, the Ignis suffers from a lot of body roll, which can be pretty scary on tight backroads. If you’re looking for a more sophisticated rider, consider the Dacia Duster.
The interior of the 2018 Ignis is pretty pleasing. The design, whilst not revolutionary, is stylish and modern, and there’s a good amount of tech too. For instance, a touchscreen comes as standard.
