2020 108
The 2020 Peugeot 108 was made in partnership between Peugeot, Toyota and Citroen. It’s badged as a Peugeot, but has Toyota handling the engineering side, and Peugeot and Citroen handling the styling.
You can certainly tell the Peugeot DNA when you look at the rear end in particular and you find the hallmark “3-claw” taillight design of the Peugeot brand. There are 8.01 cubic feet of space in the trunk, too, which is more than the similarly modeled Citroen C1 car received even on its highest trim levels.
It’s a small car so being able to adjust the driver’s seat position is important for different-sized drivers. The good news is that the 2020 Peugeot 108 allows not only the seat to be easily adjusted to the right height and forward position, but the wheel also moves up and down (but not telescopically for distance).
A nice detail here is that the instrument display is attached to the steering column, so when you adjust it, the instruments move with it. This means you can’t get a scenario where an adjusted steering wheel is obscuring the instrument panel in any way.
The center stack controls and infotainment are simple but functional and easy to use. It’s a shame about all the hard plastic, but with starting prices far south of $12,000, it’s hardly surprising that cheaper materials are used to keep costs down.
The 2020 Peugeot 108 was never built for high-speed performance, but rather for a convenient city life. It’s small but well insulated from city traffic noise, and is a surprisingly quiet ride for a small car with a small 1.0L engine.
Built for city streets with sudden turns and junctions, it can handle itself well even on sharp bends, and the compact frame means you can park this car virtually anywhere.
