The Civic is one of Honda’s most recognizable marques, having been around since 1972.

This 2022 Honda Civic Sedan is a part of the latest 11th generation which was launched in 2021. It comes as either a 4-door sedan or a 5-door liftback.

A 2022 Civic Sedan offers affordability with a starting MSRP of just $21,900, but also great fuel economy with up to 31-mpg in the city and 40-mpg on the highway, making it very competitive in the sedan segment.

In 2022, buyers have the choice of 8 exterior colors painted over a nice balance of sleek athletic lines and executive-style structure.

Its design makes the 2022 model as versatile as its predecessors: family car, personal commuting vehicle, executive sedan, and more.

The basic engine is a 2.0L DOHC i-VTEC unit available on the LX and Sport trims, but can be upgraded to a 180-hp turbocharged 1.5L version at the higher level.

The latter offers more power and a more responsive throttle.

These engines are the same that you would find in the fifth-generation CR-V which shares many of the same components in its joint platform.

You will find many similarities between this line and the 2022 CR-V, not just in the engine bay - sharing many of the same features and technologies.

Its drivetrain is FWD only, and the powertrain is paired with a CVT automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This allows for manual downshifting to gain extra power.

Inside it is spacious, with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, digital instrument cluster, power moonroof, dual-zone climate control and more.

The central infotainment touchscreen works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but also retains physical buttons for returning to the home screen and volume control, which many users appreciate.

A nice premium touch for the interior is a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System with Centerpoint surround-sound technology.

The 2022 Civic Sedan comes in four trim levels: LX, Sport, EX and the top-level Touring, all of which fall comfortably under the $30,000 mark for starting price.

Honda offers many additional packages and features allowing buyers to tailor a Civic to their specifications.
