About The Terrain

The GMC Terrain is a crossover SUV that shares its platform with the Chevrolet Equinox in the original version.

Then the second generation was built on the Delta platform shared with the Chevrolet Cobalt and Chevrolet HHR.

This Terrain was designed to replace the Pontiac Torrent after GMC shut down the Pontiac brand in 2007 due to restructuring.

The owner’s manuals on this page for your Terrain can help you get more enjoyment out of your vehicle by helping you learn how to care for it properly.

Inside of each PDF manual, it covers topics such as: detailed instructions on how to change fluids, replace air filters and check tire pressure.

Engine choices ranged from 2.4-liter through to a 3.6-liter V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Power to the wheels has always been open to the customer with front, rear or all wheels driven by the engine across both generations of GMC Terrain.

The more recent version of the car released in 2018 has upgraded the transmission to either a 6-speed or 9-speed to ensure as many miles are squeezed out of the fuel as possible.

Engine sizes with the later models have also been revised downwards in size, incorporating turbos to help sales in markets where vehicles are taxed based on engine displacement.

In recent years the Terrain has boasted ultra-modern technology on board such as surround vision cameras and forward-collision alerting to the drive.

Mobile device connectivity is also standard in modern versions of the car with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and WiFi hotspot capability for the occupants.
