About The Genesis GV70
The Genesis GV70 is classed as a compact luxury crossover SUV.
It came into production in 2020 but didn’t get delivered to customers until the 2022 model year.
Underneath the GV70 you will find the same platform used under the G70 and the Kia Stinger.
It is understandably slightly heavier than the G70 with its taller SUV-like body and so the engine options are similar but a little larger in displacement.
When buying the car you are able to choose from one of two gasoline engines and a turbodiesel option too.
Genesis sells the GV70 alongside the GV80, a mid-size crossover SUV that shares its platform with the G80.
All of the GV70s are fitted with an 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual-shift system.
With that manual-shift system, the driver can temporarily switch to manual changing of gears for a more hands-on experience.
