2018 Ford Expedition Owner’s Manual

Production of the Ford Expedition began way back in the mid-1990s as the American automaker looked to replace the original Bronco and Excursion.

This full-size SUV was packed full of some of the latest technology of the time and loads of comfort features, ideal for the North American market.

An even more luxurious version of the car was sold by Lincoln as the Navigator, with both models sharing many of the same mechanical components.

All throughout its life the Expedition has been based on the F-150 chassis, showing that it is perfectly capable of handling offroad terrain.

2018 marked a big year for this car as it was the first model year for the fourth generation of design.

Options for this new 2018 model have been reduced down to simply one engine and transmission, a 3.5-liter V6 mated to a 10-speed automatic.

The use of aluminum alloys in the chassis and body has led to it reducing its overall weight greatly, by over 10% compared to the last generation.

With a wide range of trims (XLT, SSV, Limited and Platinum to name a few) the new car can be customized based on the buyer's requirements.
