2019 Envision
In the 2019 model year, the Buick Envision received some welcomed upgrades, including new engines and transmission, as well as new styling points. From the outset, it doesn’t appear to be a standout contender in this fiercely competitive crossover sector, but the Envision remains one of the most highly rated and loved compact crossover SUVs of its kind.
The 2019 Buick Envision was not the most expensive crossover out there, but neither was it the cheapest. Most people didn’t mind, however, since the roomy interior, pleasing technology features and decent gas mileage for its class made it a worthwhile purchase.
On the 2019 Envision, one could choose from 2 powertrains. At the base level, one would find a 2.5L engine delivering up to 197-hp paired with either a FWD or AWD drivetrain and 6-speed transmission. The other option is a 2.0L turbocharged unit delivering up to 252-hp and paired with an all-new 9-speed transmission.
Its excellent road performance is best embodied in its suspension and damping abilities. Many drivers have complimented the car’s ability to seemingly float over virtually any imperfection in the road. It also boasts confident handling, but not quite the same fun and exciting cornering that you might get on a similar European model from Audi or BMW.
The real jewel in the Envision crown is the interior. The interior space is very roomy for 4 adults. The finish isn’t as high-class as you might see in an Audi Q5, but it’s very solid with an 8-inch touchscreen, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, leather seats with heating and ventilation, a driver HUD, and at least a partially digital instrument cluster.
It’s also an efficient contender in the SUV class, getting up to 22-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway.
